My Story

Hello! I’m Heather Couch, school counselor, doctoral student, and author. I’m passionate about helping students and being an advocate for education. I’ve worked in diverse academic settings throughout Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. As a school counselor, I’ve helped form district crisis teams, school-wide Whole Child Initiatives and new college and career curriculum, and build counseling programs. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others by presenting at school counseling conferences and being on committees. I’m currently serving as Emerging Leader on the Ohio School Counselor Association board. If you would like to learn more about me, reach out!

When I’m not wearing my professional clothes, you can find me reading a book and snuggling with my Golden Retriever Emma and Pekingnese Mimi. I have the travel bug and love experiencing the local culture wherever I go. I’m a Renaissance woman and enjoy the arts, sports, and history. I’m you would like to have virtual cup of tea, we’re bond to have something in common!
